Dr. Mark Weiner

Mark Weiner, MD is Board Certified in both Neurology and Sleep Disorder Medicine. These are specialties which encompass care of many of the debilitating conditions/symptoms experienced by patients who are eligible for medical marijuana.

Dr. Weiner has been a health care practitioner serving patients in the Metro Boston and South Shore area for over 25 years. In addition, he has been the Medical Director of Sleep Laboratories for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep disorders in the South Shore area as well as in Central MA.

As a Neurologist in clinical practice, Dr. Weiner has treated many patients for medical conditions and their associated symptoms which are included in the current list of conditions of the Massachusetts Marijuana Regulations referred to as “The Implementation of an Act for the Humanitarian Medical Use Of Marijuana “ (see State Regs.). These conditions include Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), as well as other debilitating conditions such as spasticity and nerve related pain disorders.

Dr. Weiner has focused not only on treating the underlying disease but their associated symptoms as well, including pain, nausea, insomnia, hypersomnia (excessive sleep), and fatigue.

Dr. Weiner is a recognized advocate of medical marijuana use. He was recently invited to speak at a State House open forum on the use of medical marijuana (Video), was interviewed by Commonwealth magazine, and has been published in the Patriot Ledger newspaper Editorial section.

Our office is conveniently located in Canton, MA only 2 miles south of I-95. Our location enables us to serve a wide geography of patients extending to Boston and North, West to Framingham and Worcester, the South Shore, Cape Cod as well as to Providence, Rhode Island.
